August 1950- Minerva Fire Department is formed and becomes incorporated
1951- The first fire truck is purchased. A 1951 Ford Pumper.
April 1955- The Fire Protection contract between the Town of Minerva & Minerva Fire Department is renewed and increased to $2,000 annually.
May 1955- B-R Lumber Co. Sawmill Fire in North Creek.
Summer 1955- The Firehouse is Olmstedville is built by firefighter Ross Winch.
Summer 1956- A house fire leaves a family homeless and a child severely burned.
Summer 1956- Eaton Sawmill Fire in Newcomb.
December 17, 1956- The first ambulance call is answered by the newly formed Rescue Squad.
1957- The second fire truck is purchased. A 1956 Dodge Power Wagon.
1957- Fire Phones are installed throughout the town.
Summer 1959- The New York State Rescue Squad Associations First Aid Competition is held at the Mountain View Hotel. Minerva Rescue Squad takes home first place.
February 1960- The Ladies Auxiliary is formed and led by Lucy Mullane.
May 1960- A car crash is fatal to one teenager.
February 1961- A new ambulance is purchased. A 1961 Cadillac.
July 3, 1962- Balfour Lake Lodge off State Rt 28N in Minerva is destroyed by fire. Multiple fire departments respond to blaze.
1966- Fire Whistles that are placed at both Fire Stations now blow / test at noon each day.
Summer 1969- Weekly Fire Dept. trainings begin- Wednesday nights.
Summer 1969- A two car crash in Minerva killed 4, injures 2 others.
July 1970- A Helicopter is used to rescue a man from the woods off North Woods Club Road.
March 1972- A new ambulance is purchased. A 1971 Cadillac.
1973- A Search & Rescue Team is formed under the guidance of member Bill Brannon.
April 1974- Large brush fire off the Hoffman Road.
July 1974- Boaters stranded on the Hudson River are rescued by firefighters.
August 1975- 25th Anniversary of the Fire Department- Celebrated at the annual Beach Party.
June 1977- Students riding the Minerva School bus spot a house fire and alert the Fire Department.
December 1977- Kelly Sawmill Fire.
May 1979- Large scale, multi agency drill is held at Minerva Lake.
March 1980- Horse Haven Tavern Fire off 28N
May 1980- An overnight search for 10 lost Sea Scouts is successful.
Summer 1980- A new 1980 Ford Pumper is purchased.
Fall 1981- The first of many EMT classes are held at Minerva School. Taught by Fran Paradis, RN.
1983- A new ambulance is purchased.
June 1986- Wallace Lumber Yard Fire.
1988- Minerva Fire/Rescue joins the Warren County 9-1-1 System.
Summer 1988- Seven Minerva EMTs complete training to become Advanced Life Support Providers.
Summer 1989- A new fire truck is purchased. A 1989 Mack Engine-Tanker.
1990- Minerva Rescue Squad is named Mountain Lakes EMS Agency of the Year 1989
July 4, 1999- Dedication Ceremony for the newly renovated Fire House. At the end of the ceremony firefighters were called away to a two car accident at the intersection of Morse Memorial Hwy & Longs Hill Road.
